Linex is remarkably smooth and gives excellent knot security. Posses
good tensile strength. Easy removal with no tissue adherence.
Material:
Polyamide
6
suture (Nylon). Blue/Black coloured for easy identification in the
operating field.
Tissue
Reaction: Linex
Suture is inert like stainless steel. Maintaines tensile strength
indefinetly in tissues. Do not support infection.
Applications:
General
closure, Skin and Plastic Surgery. Also used for Opthalmic and Micro
Surgery.
Choice: Loop, Needled
and pre-cut sterile sutures conforming to USP standards.
Caution: Not
recommended for attachment of artificial prostheses in Cardiovascular
surgery.

Monofilament Polyamide Sutures
These sutures have excellent knot security properties and can be easily
removed with no tissue adherence. These sutures are infection resistant
and conform to USP standards. They are usually not recommended for
attachment of artificial prostheses in cardiovascular surgery. They
also do not support infection and maintain tensile strength
indefinitely in tissues. They are widely used for general closure, skin
and plastic surgery.
