Durafibr - Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) Sutures

DURAFIBR® suture is composed of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE Suture), which is up-to 5x stronger than stainless steel sutures on a w/w basis.

The long-chain linear polyethylene enables a high tensile and high ex strength wound closure for demanding applications. Its unique braiding with a blue tracer provides improved visibility while its lubricious design allows each knot to slide for smoother, more efficient performance.

DURAFIBR’s UHMWPE Suture unique braid construction enables better handling, knot strength and abrasion resistance compared to polyester sutures.
