01

Preloaded sterile system

Clips arrive preloaded within a sterile, single-use applier, removing the need for separate clip loading and supporting a ready-to-use workflow in the operating room.

02

Controlled sequential delivery

The applier is designed to deliver multiple clips in a controlled, sequential manner, supporting repeatable clip placement during surgical ligation of vessels and tubular structures.

03

Non-absorbable occlusion

The polymer clips are non-absorbable, providing durable mechanical occlusion of appropriately sized vessels or tubular structures where surgical clip ligation is appropriate.

04

Integrated applier assembly

Jaws, an applier shaft, manual handles, and a clip indicator work together to guide, position, and close each clip under the surgeon's direct control.

05

Visual clip indicator

A visual indicator provides feedback on clip advancement and remaining clip count, helping the surgeon track deployment and recognize when all clips are used.

06

Variant and size selection

Available in polymer or titanium clip versions, allowing the surgeon to select the variant, clip material, and size suited to the patient, anatomy, and procedure.

What POLYLOC Polymer Clips Are

POLYLOC Ligation Clips (Preloaded) form a sterile, single-use surgical ligation clip applier system intended to ligate blood vessels or other tubular structures using preloaded clips. Depending on the product variant, the device is supplied with polymer or titanium clips. The clips are non-absorbable and remain in place after the procedure, providing durable mechanical occlusion where surgical ligation is appropriate.

Construction and Delivery Mechanism

Each system integrates the clips with a complete applier assembly. The applier comprises jaws for clip placement, a shaft for clip guidance, manual handles for actuation, and a clip indicator. This construction is designed to deliver multiple clips in a controlled, sequential manner and to support repeatable placement throughout a procedure. The preloaded format removes the need for separate clip loading during surgery.

Handling and Clinical Use

The device is indicated for general surgical and laparoscopic procedures requiring occlusion or ligation of vessels or tubular structures. It is intended for use only when the target structure can be clearly visualized, either directly or endoscopically. The visual indicator lets the surgeon monitor clip advancement and the remaining clip count, and use is discontinued once all clips are deployed or the empty indicator appears.

Selection Considerations

The appropriate variant, clip material, and clip size are selected by the surgeon based on patient condition, anatomical site, the diameter and characteristics of the target structure, the nature of the procedure, and surgical technique. Clip size must be compatible with the structure being occluded.

Presentation

POLYLOC Polymer Clips are supplied preloaded, sterile, and for single procedure use only. The device is intended to be discarded after one procedure and must not be reused or resterilized.

Contact Sales
What are POLYLOC Polymer Clips used for?
POLYLOC Ligation Clips (Preloaded) are intended for surgical procedures requiring ligation of vessels or other tubular structures where surgical clips are appropriate. They are indicated for general surgical and laparoscopic procedures requiring occlusion or ligation of vessels or tubular structures.
Are the polymer clips absorbable?
No. The ligation clips are non-absorbable and remain in place after the procedure, providing durable mechanical occlusion. They are intended to ligate appropriately sized vessels or tubular structures rather than to be resorbed by the body over time.
What variants and clip materials are available?
Depending on the product version, the POLYLOC system is supplied with polymer or titanium clips. The surgeon selects the appropriate variant, clip material, and clip size based on patient condition, anatomical site, the target structure's diameter and characteristics, and the surgical technique used.
Is the device supplied sterile?
Yes. The device is supplied preloaded and sterile, sterilized by ethylene oxide (EO). It is intended for single procedure use only. Do not resterilize, and do not use if the package is opened, damaged, compromised, or past its labeled expiry date.
How does the applier help during surgery?
The applier integrates jaws, a shaft, manual handles, and a clip indicator to deliver clips in a controlled, sequential manner and support repeatable placement. A visual indicator provides feedback on clip advancement and the number of clips remaining during the procedure.
When should POLYLOC clips not be used?
They should not be used when precise clip placement cannot be visually confirmed, on calcified, brittle, friable, or diseased vessels, on structures too large or too small for the clip size, or in patients with known hypersensitivity to the clip material. Refer to the IFU for full contraindications.
How should the device be stored?
Store in a clean, dry place at 10°C to 35°C, protected from moisture, direct sunlight, and direct heat. The shelf life is 5 years from the date of sterilization or manufacture, subject to package integrity and the labeled expiry date.
How can distributors obtain documentation and ordering details?
Distributors, hospitals, and international buyers can contact Dolphin Sutures for the Instructions for Use, available variants and clip sizes, regulatory documentation, and ordering information. Our team can advise on the appropriate POLYLOC configuration for your surgical and procurement requirements.
