Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is:

This policy covers www.dolphinsutures.com only. It does not cover data you give us by other means — a purchase order, a distribution agreement, a tender submission, a trade fair — which is governed by the arrangement under which you gave it.

What we collect, and only this

When you send an enquiry. The enquiry form asks for your name, e-mail address, message, and optionally your telephone number, country and organisation. Where the enquiry is raised from a product page, the page it came from is recorded with it so we can answer sensibly. Nothing on this site requires an account, and there is no login, registration, comment facility or file upload.

A hashed record of your network address. To stop the enquiry form being abused, we count how many enquiries arrive from one network address in an hour. Your IP address is irreversibly hashed before that count is stored; the address itself is never written to our records. We cannot recover it, and we do not use it to identify or profile you.

One preference held in your browser. If you dismiss the prompt offering the site in another language, your browser stores a single value so it does not ask again. That value stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and you can clear it by clearing your browser’s site data.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Cloudflare Zaraz, to count visits and see which pages are read, so we can tell what is worth writing more of. It runs by default when you visit the site.

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (names beginning _ga, kept for up to 13 months) and receives your IP address, which Google uses to derive an approximate location — we see countries and cities in our reports, never an address. Google’s advertising and audience features are switched off in our configuration, so the data is not used for remarketing or ad targeting, by us or by Google on our behalf.

If you prefer not to be counted, you can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, use a content blocker (the site works fully without analytics), or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

What we do not do

We state this positively because it is the shortest accurate answer to most privacy questions:

• No advertising or profiling. No ad pixels, no remarketing tags, no data brokers. Google’s advertising and audience features are switched off in our analytics configuration.
• No cookies beyond analytics. The only cookies this site sets are the Google Analytics cookies described above. None is used for advertising or profiling.
• Bot protection without cross-site tracking. The enquiry form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you are human without following you around the web, together with a hidden field and the hashed network-address count above.
• We never sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Why we may lawfully hold it

We process enquiry data to answer you and to keep a record of the exchange. Where the GDPR applies, our lawful bases are that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business correspondence and in protecting the site from abuse. Where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies, we process it for the specified purpose for which you provided it.

Please do not send us patient information

This site sells medical devices to healthcare organisations and distributors. It is not a channel for clinical information. Do not send patient names, patient identifiers, clinical records, images of patients, or any other health data through the enquiry form or by e-mail. We do not ask for it, we have no lawful basis to process it, and we will delete anything of that nature that reaches us. Adverse events and product complaints should be reported through the channel in the instructions for use supplied with the product, or to your supplier.

Who else handles it

We keep the number of processors deliberately small. Each acts on our instructions under a written agreement:

We also disclose personal data where we are required to by law, court order or a competent regulator, and to our professional advisers where necessary. Nobody else receives it.

Where it goes

We are established in India, and the processors above operate infrastructure outside India, including in the United States and the European Union. Where personal data protected by the GDPR is transferred outside the EEA or the United Kingdom, the transfer is made on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses or another mechanism permitted by that legislation.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while we are dealing with them and afterwards for as long as we have a genuine business or legal reason — typically to maintain a record of the commercial relationship or to satisfy statutory record-keeping. When that reason ends, the record is deleted. You may ask us to delete an enquiry sooner, and we will unless we are required to retain it.

Security

Enquiries travel over an encrypted connection and are held in access-controlled infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise; we apply measures appropriate to data of this kind, which is business contact information rather than sensitive personal data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you; to have it corrected; to have it deleted; to restrict or object to how we use it; to receive it in a portable form; and, where we rely on consent, to withdraw that consent.

To exercise any of these, write to . We will respond within the period the applicable law allows. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will explain if a request cannot be granted in full.

If you are in the EEA or the United Kingdom, you may complain to your national data protection supervisory authority. If you are in India, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India. We would prefer the chance to resolve it with you first.

Children

This site addresses healthcare professionals, distributors and business partners. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may revise this policy. The effective date at the top always shows the version in force, and material changes will be reflected there.
